The Law Practice Management Division delivers information and resources to aid VBA members in building and managing successful, effective law practices with the highest standards of the legal profession. The LPMD promotes professionalism in the delivery of legal services. It also advocates approaches that maintain work-life balance.

How We Add Value

We want to make the LPMD a source of added value to VBA members and to all legal professionals in Virginia. Give us your suggestions on program topics and issues of concern. Watch for CLE programming from the Law Practice Management Division at VBA statewide meetings in July and January.

LPMD Leadership

A chair, chair-elect, immediate past chair and a secretary-treasurer serve as the executive committee of the LPMD. The LPMD Council of no more than 14 members, nominated by the executive committee, advises the leadership.

The executive committee or the council can appoint special committees. These include the Committee on Small-Firm and Solo Practice, which provides practical advice and resources to help small firms and solo practitioners succeed while fostering connections with large and medium-sized firms and in-house counsel.
