The VBA YLD earned a second place in the Comprehensive category and a certificate of performance in the Service to the Public category for statewide bars of our size.
In the Comprehensive category, the VBA YLD was judged on its submission about eight programs:

• Young Lawyers Track,
• Ask A Lawyer,
• Legal Food Frenzy,
• Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Legal Aid Clinic,
• Model Judiciary,
• Shepherd Juvenile Law and Education Conference, and

The Service to the Public award recognized the Ask A Lawyer program.
Among state bars our size, first place in the Comprehensive category went to the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. In the Service to the Public category, awards went to the Indiana State Bar Association YLD (first), and Connecticut Bar Association (second). The Kentucky Bar Association Young Lawyers Section also earned an honorable mention.
